Percentages are a Funny Thing

Today was the big day of the ultrasound.  I have been sooo anxious to find out if we are having a boy or a girl.  Obviously REALLY hoping it was a girl but doing everything in my power to be prepared to hear that it was a boy.  Well, the little thing wanted to keep it leg's as close together as possible so the tech couldn't tell 100%, but was 80% sure it is a healthy........

GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I want to be jumping up and down with excitement, but am trying to restrain myself.  The next ultrasound isn't for two months.  Seriously?  Don't they understand that I could have an entire wardrobe made for this "her" by then?  Patience, patience.  Has anyone else had this happen and then find out it is the opposite gender as originally thought?

I sincerely hope its a girl just for the fact they are so fun to shop for and dress. I'll make you a few baby bracelets to get you started... that is if it remains a girl. ;)

Good luck waiting!!!

I'm SURE it's a girl! Honestly, what boys like to keep their legs squeezed together? She just has good etiquette. :) When we got our first ultrasound, they couldn't tell for sure because Lydia was being modest, so they said they were 90% sure it was a girl... Luckily, our friend was the ultrasound tech, so we got free ultrasounds. We came back a couple weeks later to verify, and it was indeed a girl :)

Jaedin wouldn't roll over for the ultrasound so they said they were "pretty sure" it was a boy. Then I had to wait several months to find out for sure! I'm sure it'll stay a girl for you :) Girls are so much fun!

You are such a cute pregnant mama! And, I hope it is a girl. When I had my ultrasound the tech said that the majority of the time when their legs are closed it is a girl. I have my fingers crossed for you.

Whoo hoo! I think it's a girl too. I'm so sorry you have to wait two more months though to confirm. Ugh! Torture!

I'd hold off on buying girly stuff until you know "for sure". My aunt was told they were having a girl (100% certain-she claims they pointed out the baby's ovaries, but I question that...) and were very surprised when they got a boy instead.

But, if you can't wait, just save the receipts!

By the way, you look so good for 19 weeks. How do you stay so small?

Aaagh! That stinks they couldn't tell for sure! But it's just GOTTA be a girl. I'm so happy for you!

FINALLY...! After five precious grandsons, a little girl to spoil! And if it ends up being a sixth boy, we'll spoil him, too! (Eat some Oreo bombs or something wouldja? You look about 3 months along...)

Yeah! I was just catching up on your blog and found this GREAT news! I am sure it's a girl! Who says you can't sew girl clothes for the next two months? If it's a boy you already have all the boy stuff you need and you'll just have girl stuff ready when a little girl does join your family. 80% is good enough odds to start buying pink stuff in my opinion. So happy for you. We are expecting as well. 12 weeks along. I want a girl so much. Shouldn't get my hopes up but it's too late. We miss you! So fun to see what you are up to.

YAY! So happy for you. I'm sure you're probably really having a girl, those techs always want to be "sure". Can't wait to see you guys!
