A Bearable Winter

Maybe knowing this is our last winter here has made it more bearable than the rest, or maybe it is the lack of snow, either way, this has been a really fun and enjoyable winter.  There has been just enough snow to play in several different times but not so much that we couldn't get around town to avoid going stir crazy.

Belle was obsessed with being pulled around in the sled.
Daddy would take the boys on speed rides around the yard trying to tip them out.
Bear and I got some one-on-one time outside one day and built this snow horse out of  some snowmen we built and knocked down. He had been saving the sticks from the horse tail on the porch since this past fall to use as snowman arms.

Belle's 12 month snow pants are HUGE on her.  She has a good three or four layers on under them and they drown her feet.

Her Grammy wanted to see pictures of her all bundled up so here are a bunch.
She didn't know what to do with herself because she was so bulky, hence the rolling around on the floor.

 Hot chocolate....mmmmm.

Breakfast Dates

One of Bond's goals for this year is to take the boys on a date each month.  He took them each to Greenfield's for a Saturday morning breakfast.  I decided they were having too much fun without me, so I joined in on the rotation.  Last Saturday I got to take Bug out for bagels and hot chocolate and this morning I went with Bear.  It is so nice to sit down with them individually.  Bear is the sweetest kid.  His smile fits his personality perfectly.

This Little Thing

Belle turned 15 months old this week.  She weighs a whopping 17 pounds, still below the charts.  She has started taking 3-4 steps and can stand for a decent amount of time.  She loves nursing.  When I got back from my trip to Canada she was THRILLED to see me.  She bounced up and down in her crib giggling in delight and then pointed to the rocking chair over and over again, indicating, "FEED ME NOW!" Good thing she only has her two bottom teeth still!
This little girl ADORES singing, dancing and music.  She rocks her babies and sings to them and makes songs up all of the time.
I am thrilled that she now has enough hair for me to do something with.   Such a Dollie.

Primary Kids

Bear on his first day of his Sunbeam Class.
Bug on his first Sunday in the CTR 5 Class.

100th Day of School

Last week we celebrated the 100th day of Kindergarten.  The boys counted out 100 M&M's and sorted them into color groups.  Next they estimated which had the most down to the least and made a bar graph with the actual amounts of each color.
Then they ate 100 snacks, ten of ten different kinds.

Towers were built with 100 Dixie cups.

Then they were off to play in the snow!

Baby sis had to watch from inside......it was pretty cold that day.
Bear showing off his cold red cheeks.
