I can hardly write this post. It makes me so sad to leave this amazing woman.  She has graciously taught Bug and I piano since last August.  Originally it was only supposed to be Bug taking lessons, but she also offered to teach me as well.  I have secretly wished to play the piano for a long, long time, but felt insecure and didn't really think I could ever learn.  Sister W cheered me on and told me I was doing great as I fumbled through simple songs.  I still have A LOT to learn, but now I feel like I can actually do it.  I think I will feel like I can actually say "I play the piano" when I can sit down, open up the Hymn book and play any song.  But for now, I am happy with what I have learned and love the gift of music she has shared with us.
I also had to say goodby to two of my dear friends.  They have both impacted my life for the better and have felt so grateful to know them.  I hope our paths will cross again.

Special Visit

My brother has been traveling across the country and he surprised us with a visit on Bug's birthday.  It was so nice to spend time with him and for the kids to meet him.

Bug's Yoda Party!

Bug opted to have two friends over for four hours instead of lots of friends over for two hours.  He planned all of the activities, including:  Yoda tag, eating hotdogs, chips, and cake,
 and playing Lego's.

This was one of the most fun, and least stressful cakes I have made.

Aftermath of the water fight (we used our water storage so that we don't have to move it with us.)
A game of tee-ball was high on the birthday boy's priority list.

Rag-tag Toddler T-Ball.
Happy Birthday, Bug!

The 4th

Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays; generally low-key, family time, and celebration.  This year I felt most grateful for the ability to worship freely.
We spent the morning at our annual ward breakfast and bike parade.  I am going to miss our ward thoroughly.  It is full of so many good-hearted people.

We spent the afternoon at home doing some fireworks, resting, and the boys played in the water. In the evening we went to our friend's property for dinner and fireworks.

 We love America!

Father's Day

The boys painted a picture frame from for Father's Day.  These are pictures we took for the photo shoot.
