2 Cubscouts in the Family

Bear's Baptism

Bear has been looking forward to his baptism for months.  He was very prepared and it was a great day. We missed having my mom and dad here as they are serving a mission, but were grateful to have Grammy, Pops and Uncle Sam here!

Bear is 8!!

It is hard to believe Bear is 8 already. He has been extremely excited for this Birthday. He can't wait to get baptized next week and is very happy to be a Cubscout. He had some friends over to play on his birthday and to eat our traditional Domino's pizza lunch with his self-decorated Hobbit Hole Cake.  On his present request list were legos, a woopie cushion,  small pinball games, and his own scriptures.  He chose ham and cheese sandwiches for dinner with cool ranch doritos and fruit. We love our sweet boy!

Elder Cook

Our stake was invited to a multi-stake conference to hear Elder Question L. Cook of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles speak.  We traveled down the day before to eat at Panda Express, have some fun at an indoor waterpark, and stay in a hotel.

Bear's Day Trip with Dad

Bear took a day trip with Dad to Banner Elk to hike to a waterfall and fish at a trout farm.  They caught a yummy dinner for all of us.

Duke Basketball Game

Bug joined his basketball team at Duke Women's Basketball game. They got to meet some of the men's team, tour the trophy room, and even be in a quarter time show, where he played in a game against another kid on his team, and won some Duke swag.

Snow!

It snowed about 6 inches here and the kids enjoyed playing their "army survivor" game.  They also got to go sledding with their friends.
