Jenny's Baby Shower

I helped throw a baby shower with a group of friend's for Jenny who is having a baby boy in a few weeks. Jenny and I made our third fondant cake together for her shower. It was so exciting to attempt one with three tiers. Each time we are learning more and more about how to make them look better and it is such a fun process. Here is our "Oh Boy!" cake.

Love is in the Air.

I have seen so many cute renditions of holiday garland and have been wanting to make my own for a long time. I have no Valentine's Day decorations so this was the perfect time to create one and am happy I did.

The Chef

I found a great deal for this play kitchen and all its accessories on Craig's list last year. We gave it to Bug when we brought Bear home from the hospital. It included tons of food, a chef hat, and even a "working" microwave and blender, but the apron was......pink. So we passed the pink apron onto his cousins and made him a blue and red apron to match the kitchen.

Christmas Card Bulletin Board

One of my favorite things about the Holiday season is sending and receiving Christmas cards. When January rolls around I always cringe as I throw them away. So this year I came up with a way to enjoy them. Now I will have these lovely faces smiling at me as I cook and wash dishes all year long.

He did it!

Bear actually slept through the night last night for the VERY FIRST time is his short (but sometimes seemingly very looong) 10 month life. Hallelujah! I am counting my lucky stars that he will go 12 hours again tonight. You can do it little guy! This is how I found Bear the other night when he and Bug were supposed to be sleeping. But instead of silence we heard the pitter patter of little feet and squeals coming from above us. I have no idea how he managed to get both arms out of his jammies, but somehow he must have wriggled right out.

Bear's Blue Beanie

These hats are made on a round Knifty Knitter loom. I like the ear flaps because they keep the hat secure, the ears warm, and look adorable.
