Easter Weekend in Kansas City

On Saturday morning we left town to visit Kansas City for the Open House of the LDS Kansas City Temple.  Bondy (lover of all things food, as he describes himself) researched out a Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives Restaurant that had won the National Championship for Barbecue. After getting our fair share of meat, we decided that neither of us loved barbecue very much anymore (over the past few months we have drastically reduced the amount of meat we have been eating).
We then went to Independence, MO to tour the LDS Visitor's Center.

After checking in at our hotel we took this little cutie on her first swim. It also happened to be her five month birthday.  She didn't seem to like or dislike the pool.  She just calmly held on to us and observed.
The Kansas City Temple is BEAUTIFUL, inside and out.  Our tour was at 8pm and the temple was breathtaking when it was lit up at night.

Before heading home we toured Liberty Jail.
It was nice to get away as a family for a couple of days.
