Piano Recital

Bug started taking Suzuki piano lessons in August as part of his homeschool curriculum, I joined him in October. We had our recital last night and I was so proud of Bug.  This time last year, you could hardly get him up in front of the Primary or talk to adults other than family.  He was not the least bit scared to play in front of a large audience last night.  He has really come out of his shell and this has been a really good thing for him. He enjoys playing the piano and it seems to come fairly naturally to him.
I, on the other hand, felt pretty silly playing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, but you've got to start somewhere, right?  The videos are super dark, but you can at least hear how they sound.
Please excuse Belle, she was throwing a fit to get the camera during Bug's performance.

Trimming the Tree

I always thought Christmas would be kind of boring as an adult, but I feel like it is even more exciting seeing the excitement and wonder through the eyes of your kids.
In the car the other night while we were driving around looking at lights, Bear said, "I love everything about Christmas.  I love the lights and just everything about it."
Today was the first day it actually felt like Winter here.  I am so glad we got to enjoy all of November and almost half of December before the weather turned.
